History of FORZA Education Management La historia de FORZA Education Management FORZA Education Management is a full-service education management organization that provides its schools with a comprehensive array of management services. Its mission centers on delivering an inclusive educational approach designed to maximize each school’s potential for success. By offering expertise in budget and finance, human resources, academic support, and instructional systems, FORZA enhances student learning gains through carefully designed curriculum development, effective teaching methods, classroom management strategies, and specialized plans for Exceptional Student Education (ESE), English Language Learners (ELL), and Gifted students. Beyond academics, FORZA also manages compliance reporting, grant writing and implementation, facility acquisition, marketing and communications, technology integration, and risk management, positioning itself as a partner in every facet of school development and sustainability. Since its founding in January 2013, FORZA has operated with the guiding belief of “Giving Parents a Choice and Children a Chance.” Its name—derived from the Italian word for “strength”—is emblematic of the determination and resilience with which the organization approaches its educational initiatives. Over the past decade, FORZA has achieved significant milestones that have positively transformed communities and strengthened the quality of education for thousands of children. One of FORZA’s earliest successes was the establishment of Gulf Coast Charter Academy South, the first charter school in Naples, and the first STEM charter school in Collier County, in July 2013, enrolling 300 children and quickly generating a waitlist of 300 more. This overwhelming response reflected the community’s demand for innovative educational options and validated FORZA’s approach to high-quality, hands-on learning. In 2016, FORZA assumed management of Bonita Prep and Fitness Academy, revitalizing the school and rebranding it as Oak Creek Charter School of Bonita Springs. Today, Oak Creek thrives with upgraded facilities—including a 17,000-square-foot expansion, shaded playgrounds, athletic courts, and a turf field—and a renewed focus on fitness and academic preparation. The organization’s impact extended further in August 2019 with the opening of Parrish Charter Academy and two preschools in Parrish, Florida. Built on nearly 10 acres of land, the charter school boasts a 24,000-square-foot facility, athletic fields, and a vibrant campus environment. Complementing the school, the renovation of the historic 1924 Parrish Schoolhouse into a preschool highlighted FORZA’s commitment not only to early childhood education but also to community heritage and partnership. Collaborative efforts with the Parrish Community Foundation and Civic Association continue to foster growth in educational opportunities and community resources. In August 2025, FORZA celebrated another landmark achievement with the opening of North River Charter Academy, a large-scale K-8 STEAM charter school in Parrish. This new school, alongside an additional preschool (opening August 2026), marks a significant expansion of educational opportunities in the region. NRCA’s opening was fueled by strong demand from families, business leaders, and community advocates who sought innovative educational options rooted in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Its establishment represents FORZA’s ongoing commitment to growth and responsiveness to community needs. Beyond new schools, FORZA has prioritized safety and security across all campuses, investing in systems such as surveillance cameras, single-entry lobbies, fencing, key fob access, and school guardians. Recognizing the financial strain of leasing, FORZA has also implemented cost-saving measures such as bond financing, investments, and the development of its own bus transportation network—now serving over 1,100 students on 17 buses. These decisions have reduced operational costs while allowing schools to reinvest in educational resources and student programs. To further support school success, FORZA employs marketing professionals, grant writers, leadership trainers, and nutrition program specialists. The leadership team—led by CEO Charles Malatesta and supported by COO William Staros and Education Consultant Jenna Hodgens—provides direct, site-based management. They maintain a consistent presence in schools, ensuring that administrators receive the coaching and professional development needed to thrive. Over the past decade, FORZA Education Management has demonstrated its capacity to transform schools facing challenges into thriving institutions of learning. From Gulf Coast Charter Academy South’s successful launch in 2013 to the celebrated opening of North River Charter Academy in 2025, FORZA’s track record showcases its ability to manage growth, improve academic performance, and foster safe, innovative, and community-focused learning environments.
